If you follow my Instagram or Facebook, you’ll see I recently created something called The London Food Social.
I’ve lived here 6 years and considering how big and busy London is, it can be really hard to meet like minded people. (As we know, no-one talks on the tube!) Whether it’s a mutual love for the gym, fashion and of course my personal favourite food, I needed to find a way to bring those people together that didn’t cost the earth!
Therefore, The Grub Club was born! A monthly meet up of food lovers where we eat, chat and enjoy a meal together!
So to kick off the first one, seven of us who had never met before spent a wonderful Saturday morning stuffing our faces at Australian inspired cafe & restaurant Timmy Green .
There is so much food to show you and of course everyone’s faces, but before we get to that here’s a quick tour of this beautiful place.
A huge downstairs with a fully stocked bar and stool seating…
… a whole other side with comfy sofas and blankets…
A small upstairs area…
… and a breakfast bar for those on the go with croissants, granola, and fruit.
Pretty gorgeous isn’t it!
So now we’ve had a quick tour of the place, here are the faces and of course THE FOOD.
Meet Max, Danii, Dania, Barbara, Danielle, Vitalyia … and me! (Linked to Instagram if you want to check them out!)
Food and drinks were ordered, and a round of smoothies arrived with huge thanks to Timmy Green who very kindly offered them complimentary as part of the event.
LOOK HOW PRETTY THEY ARE! … and very healthy for a change! Woohoo.
… And next to arrive was of course THE FOOD!
We covered off nearly everything on the menu, and a whole spread of delicious food arrived with a 10 out of 10 for presentation before we had even tried any of it.
There were blueberry pancakes (like having three fluffy cakes for breakfast covered in syrup!)…
Coconut bread french toast…
Smoked salmon royale…
…and the famous banana bread sandwich with mascarpone and berries (Very kindly bought by Danielle for the whole table to share.)
Broccoli and corn fritters with avocado and a runny egg…
…and the fancy bacon roll (as it’ s listed on the menu) with crispy onions, a poached egg and chilli.
2 hours later we were still there chatting, eating, enjoying and taking photos.
Danielle from Brittle & Bark even brought us a whole load of chocolate samples from her confectionary company to take away with us! .. Scroll down a bit and you can see how lovely they are!
The first event was fantastic and from the response I’ve gotten from everyone said they had a great time. The place was beautiful, the food was wonderful and the company even better.
Timmy Green is a great place for a weekend brunch so the next time you and your friends are looking for somewhere this is a good one. The menu is varied and has everything from healthy grains, pimped up eggs or something very Aussie like their banana bread sandwich!
The Australians know how to do it!
I hope you’ve enjoyed the first London Food Social event, and If it is something you think you’d like to get involved with then you can find out more here. It happens once a month and the invite is published on Instagram and Facebook a few weeks before. It’s first come first served, and the first 7 people to sign up get a place.
Hope to see you there!
Awesome post! It was a great event, delicious food and will definitely be visiting again! Hopefully see you at the next grub club event ๐ thanks for organising it again ๐

I’ve walked past this place a couple of times and it always look fabulous. Definitely going to have to give it a go after seeing all this yummy food. Those blueberry pancakes are calling me. ๐
Hi just wondering are the blueberries in the pancakes or on top?
