In the centre of Hampstead high street amongst the coffee shops, florists and uber posh boutiques you’ll see one tiny little van with a very long line.
That line is for Creperie de Hampstead – a small, Parisian style street food stall doing sweet and savoury crepes.
Creperie de Hamstead has become a bit of an institution in North London. They’ve been going since 1980 (obviously different staff – haha) and are still going strong today.
The menu is HUGE and there are choices of every sweet and savoury combination you could want starting from just £2.80. Sweet is everything from chocolate, nuts, syrup and cream. To a simple lemon and sugar for you purists out there…

… and savoury we’re talking mushrooms in garlic cream, cheese and ham or spinach and cheese. Basically anything rich, creamy and cheesy, it’ll be on there.
Neatly packed in its own pocket, your hot, buttery, freshly made crepe is handed over.
There’s no official seating area but it’s not the type of food you want to be formal with anyway. Grab a bench, a curb or go for a walk. Eat, enjoy and maybe grab a napkin.
Oh, and the menus are at the end if you fancy a look. As well as one VERY quirky coffee shop as you walk past. Keep scrolling.
