If you hate the cold click off the page right now. Alternately, if you’re looking for a fun idea for a day in London, this one is for you.
The Ice Bar is a bar in central London where the temperature is kept at -9 degrees. You’re only allowed 40 minutes only (due to the cold) and in you walk into what can only be described as a human fridge. When you arrive you get a drinks voucher (1 cocktail included in the price), a thermal cape and a pair of thermal gloves. Best thing is you don’t even have to think about what to wear because no one can see it anyway.
You redeem your voucher at the bar with the world’s bravest barman and your cocktail comes in a glass made entirely of ice. It’s safe to say no warm drinks here.

If you think its a bit of a gimmick and it’s not actually cold, think again. It is freezing, so cold in fact people even find 40 minutes a bit of a struggle.

It’s definitely an experience you need to …. experience, and one tip would be to run to the toilets after and hog the hand dryer.
Midweek can be relatively quiet but can get crazy busy at the weekend with hen parties and birthdays! Tickets range from £13.50 – £25 and you can book in advance here.
Good luck … and don’t forget to wear warm clothes!
