If a view is what you like with your breakfast then Duck and Waffle is the place to go!
Best known for its breakfast and amazing views over London; It sits on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
if you ask most Londoners and actually most tourists, it’s on the top of their to-do list and you’ll see why very soon…
The restaurant itself is beautiful and while it’s most certainly not for the uber posh only, it feels quite special and exclusive.
Looking at the menu, there’s really good choice of things and something to suit most budgets.
Egg on toast is just £7, waffles are about £10, and if you’re feeling flash go for something like the duck and waffle which is £17.
The Duck Egg en Concotte is HIGHLY recommended and if you’re a fan of egg and soldiers, well this is Duck and Waffles version.
A baked duck egg swimming in gruyere cheese, truffle oil, and wild mushrooms. Served with a side of bread soldiers to dip and mop up until the plate is clean.
…or maybe a really rich and meaty Ox Cheek Benedict … Great alternative to your standard version.
If you prefer something sweet or perhaps a breakfast dessert after your savoury, how about some banana brûlée waffles with vanilla ice cream, crushed peanuts and HOMEMADE NUTELLA.
Duck and waffle aren’t your everyday cafe. Sometimes there’s nothing better than a full English in the local greasy spoon. Equally, why not treat yourself once in a while. This is somewhere everyone needs to go at least once, for a special occasion or just … because! Rock your jeans or a dinner jacket, no-one cares it’s very casual.
Whether you’re going for just a croissant and cuppa tea or a full on blowout … it’s most certainly somewhere everyone should visit in London.
